Introduction to the application areas of PVC products

(1) Application of PVC general soft products. Using extruder can be squeezed into hose, cable, wire, etc.; using injection molding machine with various molds, plastic sandals, soles, slippers, toys, auto parts, etc.

(2) PVC application film. PVC mixed with additives, plasticized, using three-roller or four-roller calender to make transparent or colored film of specified thickness, the film processed in this way, called calendered film. Soft PVC pellets can also be blown into film using a blow molding machine, which is called blown film. The film can be printed (such as packaging decorative patterns and trademarks, etc.). The film is versatile and can be cut and heat-laminated into bags, raincoats, tablecloths, curtains, inflatable toys, etc. The wide transparent film can be used for greenhouse, plastic shed and ground film. The film stretched in both directions has the property of shrinkage by heat and can be used for shrink packaging.

(3) Application coated products of PVC. Artificial leather with backing is made by coating PVC paste on cloth or paper and then plasticizing it above 100℃. It can also be made by calendering PVC with additives into a film first, and then pressed together with the backing material by heating. Artificial leather without backing is directly calendered by calender into soft sheet of certain thickness, and then pressed with pattern. Artificial leather can be used to make leather case, leather bag, book cover, sofa and car seat cushion. There is also floor leather, which is used as flooring material of buildings.

(4) Application of PVC foam products. Soft PVC blending, adding the right amount of blowing agent into the sheet, foam molding for foam, can be used as foam slippers, sandals, insoles, cushions, and shock absorption cushioning packaging materials. It can also be extruded into low-foaming hard PVC sheets and profiles, which can be used instead of wood and is a new type of construction material.

(5) PVC application transparent sheet: PVC with impact modifier and organic tin stabilizer, mixed, plasticized, calendered and become transparent sheet. The use of thermoforming can be made into thin-walled transparent containers or for vacuum blister packaging, is an excellent packaging material and decorative materials.

(6) Application of PVC paste products. Dispersion of PVC in liquid plasticizer, so that it dissolves and plasticizes into plasticized sol, usually with emulsion or micro-suspension resin, but also need to add stabilizers, fillers, colorants, etc., after full mixing, de-bubbling, PVC paste, and then impregnated, cast or plasticized into a variety of products.

(7) Application of PVC for hard pipes and sheets. PVC with stabilizers, lubricants and fillers, after mixing, can be extruded with extruders for various calibers of hard pipes, shaped pipes, corrugated pipes, used as downpipes, water diversion pipes, electric wire casing or stair handrails. The calendered sheets are overlapped and hot pressed to make rigid sheets of various thicknesses. The sheets can be cut into desired shapes and then welded with hot air using PVC welding rods into various chemical-resistant storage tanks, ducts and containers, etc.
